How does RF Microneedling compare to regular microneedling?
RF microneedling adds the element of radiofrequency energy to the traditional microneedling procedure. The RF energy is delivered via small needles. In addition to the benefits seen with the micro-injury provided by the microneedles, RF microneedling also delivers RF energy deep into the dermis further enhancing skin tightening and scar reduction. The RF energy heats the underlying layers, causing constriction and tightening of the skin, as well as the stimulation of collagen and elastin production. Because the RF energy is delivered so deeply, it can produce faster, more dramatic results.
What skin types is the treatment best for?
Any skin type will benefit from this treatment.
Why not just use an at-home microneedling device?
Manufacturers of at-home microneedle rollers often claim that their devices are just as effective as the state-of-the-art versions used by licensed professionals. Don't fall for it. We utilize top-of-the-line medical grade equipment that is not safe or acceptable in the hands of an untrained practitioner. Furthermore, because the at-home microneedling procedure uses a lesser-quality device, you don’t get the same beautiful results.
Will the needles leave holes in my skin?Microneedling RF treatment does create controlled injuries in the skin, but it does not leave your face resembling an aerated front lawn. The needle punctures are so small that, unaided, no one can see them, even close up. The effect, however, is that your skin may look flushed, but this passes soon.
What is the benefit of the LED light offered with the Vivace system?
The Vivace wand emits blue and red light-emitting diodes (LEDs): Both red and blue light have been clinically documented to offer significant benefits for the skin. Red light also assists in renewed collagen production and improves skin tone and texture, while blue light reduces acne. For the additional benefit of LED light therapy add on a Celluma 30 minute session after your treatment.
